Bloomers

 Here are the bloomers!  I used the big butt pants pattern made by Rae... but I made them into shorts with elastic at the legs.

When next to each other, the pants appear like they will be too big, but I'm not really sure how all this will fit as a set.  The dress was marked as 12 months while the pants are 6-12 months... so hopefully it will all work out ok.  If they stick out the bottom of the dress, that is ok.  Also, I know from experience that the diaper part takes up a lot of space and should pull the pant length up quite a bit... probably to the knees at least, but I'm not sure where the dress will fall.


No matter how they fit together, they turned out so cute! I know for sure that they will be loved and worn, even if it's not together as a set!  :)

In other news, David is babbling A LOT!  He loves talking to black kitty!  Here he is telling black kitty some elaborate story!

I can't believe January is almost over, and I never even shared my Christmas towels I made for family!  "Where is 2016 going?" I'm already asking myself! Here are the Christmas towels that I promised to show you so long ago!  These were so much fun to make and didn't take as much thought to do as you would fear! I didn't follow any particular pattern. When I sat down to thread my loom, I did more of a profile draft style threading but I didn't write it down first I just do it from my head. Same thing for treadling- I didn't have that written down first I just followed a profile-like draft from my head. So it was all somewhat of a surprise to me as I went! The towels I made were from 12/2 cotton.  I warped 6 yards, and the epi was 24. Made 8 towels total. Just a little reminder... Today's color is... BLUE! Look at all those blues!  I also finished crocheting another kitty... one in BLUE and one in green!     Now we have a family of 4 kitties! They really do multiply fast! Wait a minute... one of these things is not quite like the other... Mr. Gnome, how did you get there?

All threaded

It's 100% done, but riddled with mistakes.  I realized only when I was done threading the constant mistake I kept making.  However, I'm all the way through now and it's only a sample mainly to test color, so I'm really not worrying about them yet.  If I want to make it into a towel, I can either start completely over or fix them and then tie onto the warp.  Chances are I will pretty much always choose staring over from scratch. David's eyes look just like the eyes on his toy!  haha
